Around about the time I posted this blog and for a few days after, I was having lots of sales. I was beginning to wonder if talk about the summer downturn was just talk. However, now I'm really seeing the effect. With the exception of <a href="http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery.mhtml?id=111598" rel="nofollow">Shutterstock</a>, where I'm still getting sales although to a lower degree, elsewhere I haven't had a single download for 9 days. Hello, is there anyone out there!

You can't necessarily base your estimates of what will happen in the summer of 2009 on what has happened in previous summers. The market is changing and the trends may be changing. Take a look at this story: http://www.jimpickerell.com/articles2/article-view.asp?id=2057

A huge percentage of the top 124 iStock photographers have seen sales declines in the last three months. Here are their numbers: http://www.jimpickerell.com/articles2/article-view.asp?id=2056

If it is happening to the leaders, what is happening to everyone else?
